Aerospace Machining Capabilities Demand Precision Processes

  • AEM Staff
  • July 9, 2020

Manufacturing complex aerospace components demands safely operating high-precision instruments and machines. Consequently, accuracy is of absolute importance in the machining and fabrication of aerospace and aircraft parts, which require the highest level of performance under very high stress conditions during flight. Precision CNC machining, and proficient control and fabrication of machined parts is essential to meeting the demands of our aerospace industry clients.

Challenges for manufacturing critical aerospace machined parts include:

  • The use of cutting edge composites and aerospace alloys
  • Advanced design difficulty
  • Specialized machining processes and measuring equipment
  • Precision tolerances
  • Consistent parts conformity

The intricacy of manufacturing aerospace parts usually relies on processes that use Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines. CNC machines utilize programmed numerical control to consistently operate the machine tools used in part fabrication processes. CNC machining provides the highest level of precision and cost metrics required by the aerospace sector.

AEM’s extensive level of experience provides clients and strategic partners with our assurance that the high precision parts will meet their precise specifications and performance standards.

Our menu of manufacturing services for our critical aerospace clients is extensive. AEM also offers a variety of value-added services to provide complete solutions for our valued customers and their projects. There are other additional industries and applications which require the same level of know-how and assembly precision in their components.

Aircraft Electric Motors is eager to provide our professional services and well-equipped machine shop to complete the production of critical machined parts for aerospace and other high demand industries and applications. We have the necessary facility, equipment, personnel, state-of-the-art technologies, and certified processes to provide full service manufacturing solutions. Please contact our Sales Team to learn more information.
