Aircraft main generators equipped with permanent magnets used in conjunction with an exciter rotor and stator are widely used for commercial aircraft alternating current generators in order to produce excitation. Our exciter rewind process includes removing all the coils from the core, cleaning and inspecting the core, then rewinding the exciter using new insulation and magnet wire. Exciter rotors and stators are vacuum impregnated in varnish and oven baked to ruggedize the windings.
Exciters are inspected and tested to ensure they meet the manufacturer’s identified requirements. We provide rewind services and manufacture new exciter assemblies for OEM’s around the globe.
